5 Unique Daytime Wedding Entertainment Ideas

The few hours between a Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast are perfect for allowing your guests to mingle and get acquainted whilst you are off having your photographs taken around the venue’s grounds.

However, many couples worry about a ‘lull’ and like to ensure that there is never a dull moment by providing some form of entertainment.

Chances are your guests have been to plenty of weddings in the past and experienced many different kinds of day time entertainment so you may want to think outside of the box a little to make your day stand out

. Well that’s where we can help!

1. Caricaturist

Hiring a caricaturist to do quick quirky sketches of your guests will go down a storm with all ages. It will provide plenty of giggles and it will give your guests a little something to take away and remember your special day by, who knows – a few might even end up in a frame!

2. Magician

Believe it or not you can actually hire a magician to mingle with your guests and dazzle them with their best magic tricks. This will keep your guests entertained and as small groups congregate to watch tricks it can help your guests to meet, get to know each other and have something to chat about as the day continues.

3. Photo Booth

There is a wide array of photo booths available for wedding hire from traditional boxed booths to cute camper vans. Most companies will supply plenty of fun and quirky props or if the budget is being stretched you can even make your own photo station with a simple backdrop or frame and a box of props that you can collect from the pound shop or even around the house!

4. Palm Reader

If you are a believer in palm reading then why not incorporate it into your big day? You can hire a palm reader to either mingle with your guests or provide a station where people can approach him/her if they would like a glimpse into their future. Palm reading is something that many people have never experienced so your guests will really appreciate the opportunity.

5. Photo Scavenger Hunt

Professional wedding photographers are great but they can’t be everywhere at once. To make sure that you have plenty of photos of everybody and every moment, why not create a photo scavenger hunt for your guests to tick off throughout the day. You can include anything from ‘take a funny selfie’ to ‘take a photo of the happy couple’. Add a hashtag to the card and then you can flick through the photos while you are relaxing on your honeymoon!
