Summer Wedding Recap: A Season of Love at Alcumlow

As summer draws to a close, we're taking a moment to reflect on an unforgettable wedding season filled with love, laughter, and the most magical celebrations. We’ve had the pleasure of hosting a series of truly special days for some incredible couples.

Here’s a look back at some of the beautiful weddings that graced our venue this year.

1. The Oaks Wedding

Our first wedding of the season! Jessica and Nicholas tied the knot in a romantic 4pm ceremony, with the aisle set to the sweeping strings of Bittersweet Symphony by The Aranbee Orchestra. The celebration continued with fizz and beers for reception drinks and ended on a high as they walked out to Friday I’m In Love by The Cure.

2. The Lawton's Wedding

The ultimate intimate celebration with just 35 guests, Sophie and Daniel’s wedding was the perfect blend of elegance and fun. From scratch card favours (winners claimed a drink at the bar!) to a glowing neon sign reading The Lawtons, the details were thoughtful and charming.

4. The Taylor's Wedding

A heartfelt religious ceremony marked Eleanor and Ethan’s wedding day. They incorporated a beautiful hymn into their service, which was followed by fizz and canapés during the cake cutting.

• The Highlights: A delicious 5 course wedding breakfast with fun games between courses. Not to mention the Limoncello shot favours, and a sunflower-adorned sweet cart lovingly decorated by the Bride’s father.

  
  

4. The Bundy's Wedding

Constance and Oliver made the most of the summer sunshine with a stunning outdoor ceremony. Our venue décor team dressed the aisle and tables beautifully, while a live violinist created a magical soundtrack to their vows.

• The Highlights: The ultimate wedding combo, an audio guest book, a tasty 2-course BBQ wedding breakfast, followed by a romantic stay at Alexandra Court Hotel on the wedding night.
